10 Tips for a Successful Stage Performance for Stage Actors and Actresses and Performers

1. Be Confident. Always think that you can do better than before.

2. Drink enough amount of water before the performance to avoid dry throat.

3. Practice your lines and blocking prior to the performance.

4. Check if your costume is exactly fitted with you and won’t bring you into shame.

5. Don’t let tension rule over you. Inhale and exhale.
6-4-6 technique is very much effective.

6. Be sure that your microphone’s battery is full.
It’s humiliating to lose your voice on the stereo because of the mic.

7. Just be yourself. Don’t overact. It doesn’t matter how big or small your role is.
What matters is the way you deliver your lines.

8. Don’t look at the eyes or a judge/VIP.
Glance at the forehead to lessen tension.

9. Don’t be distracted with an unnecessary movement in the crowd.

10. Always make sure that your facial expressions and movements are clear.
Remember you’re on stage.
