Jazz Chant: Find Me Some Time

By Raffy Berina and Jebb Ann Mationg

Tik-tak,  Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak,
Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand…
Five hundred twenty-five thousand…
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes!
Tik-tak,  Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak,
Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak!

Ting! Tikiting ting ting ting ting.
Ting! Tikiting ting ting ting ting.
Ting! Tikiting ting ting ting ting.

Time runs fast when your’e living!
Looking at my window!
Looking at my window!
Watching people passing by!
Saying hi!, hello!
Saying hi!, hello!
None of them seem to reply.

Children laughing, Dogs barking, Birds chirping, people chatting…

But still I look at them as I cry.
I am so tired of staying here!
In this dark room full of sadness and fear!

And I went down the stairs!
And……..
Diiiiiiiing!
Diiiiiiiing!
Diiiiiiiing!

I looked at the ceiling!
And I saw my body hanging!
My face was pale…
My eyes are wide open!
And I heard the clock again!

Oh no!
Why am I still here!
In this dark chamber of sadness and fears!
Tik-tak,  Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak,
Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak, Tik-tak!
I need someone to open this damn door!
To free my lost soul!
Oh sorrow!

I’m dead!
Oh I’m so dead!
But why am I still here!

Let me out of here!
Let me out of here!
Let me out of here!

(Door opens…)
