The Dream that Turned to Fate

Life really offers a lot of surprises. Sometimes, the things we plan won’t work according to what we want but there are really things that happen and come to us even if we did not expect it. We must be ready to face whatever challenge that may come into our life. We should be ready to encounter the things we did not even encounter before.

Back when I was in elementary, I wanted to be a doctor---thinking it would be the best  profession for me… but when  I reached high school, I wanted to be an actor--- thinking it would make me into someone admired and well-known…but everything changed when I started my college years. I decided to take up Secondary Education and English as my major.

Confusing sentence patterns, very strict grammar rules, nerve-cracking figurative language and other nose-bleeding major subjects were my best friends during my college life. It helped me realize how compound-complex my existence is (Lolz!). Those things made me stronger and wiser than even before.

In college, I was able to discover some things in me that I was not able to discover when I was in high school. College years were stressing but at the same time, it made me braver and better.

Time runs fast and all of a sudden, I found myself in a room where there are students listening before me. I really can say that, I did not expect these things to happen right away. But maybe because I was born to be a teacher and this is my fate, I find this profession the profession I never dreamed of but is truly for me.

It has been 4 years that I started accepting my fate. The fate that made me feel the real essence of my existence. I might not be too young or too old but I know that there are more challenges that would test the way I live my life according to the will of God and my real purpose.
